This San Francisco native and Bangkok icon has been rocking the decks for over 15 years starting way back with old school hip hop and reggae dub/dancehall. He bought his first turntables back in 1986 after watching the movie 'Wild Style' a low budget flick depicting early graffiti, break dancing (b boys) and DJ's which is where the original word Hip Hop came from if you didn't know already! He first started out playing birthday parties, community halls as the intermission between bands and weddings playing hip hop, funk, Reggae & disco but soon gave it up to pursue a career in Architecture in college, which didn't last once he found the missing link he had been searching for... House music!

The Roland TR808 and TR909 drum machine was the most revolutionary thing and life altering memory for him! 'The sound a normal drummer could never achieve... the 'BOOM' of the kick drum was orgasmic!' he remembers like it was yesterday.

Early influences were groups like Cybotron, UTFO, Hashim, Miami Bass, Magic Mike, Kurtis Blow, Run DMC, Egyptian Lover, Newcleus and of course Afrika Bammbaattaa who were sampling legendary Electronic groups like Kraftwerk. 'Kraftwerk still give me chills when i listen to their albums.'

The 90's
Emanuel became deeply inspired by the emerging underground house scenes of San Francisco and Chicago which lead him to buy his first pair of direct drive Technics turntables.
To further his musical journey, he spent every waking minute digging thru the crates in any and all record stores he found. So thus he began to explore and cultivate the uniquely diverse House sound he is known for today.

Not only a DJ but he was also organizing and promoting underground parties throughout Northern California. It was not long before he caught the eyes and ears of clubs and promoters alike and was soon booked at many of the top clubs throughout San Francisco, including Skunk Lounge (his first residency ever) with good friend Andrew Lopez, Liquid, The legendary Sunset parties, Groove Lounge (with close friend Miguel 'Migs'), Back Flip, 555 Mina st, Funky Buddha, Recycle, DNA, 1015, The End up, DV8 etc...

With a musical style that encompasses funky house, electro, tribal, tech House and some minimal house. He maintains a strong emphasis on the technical aspects of djing, as well as creative programming of track selection, which makes him stand out from the rest.

Bangkok Y2K
He Jumped a plane with record box and the clothes on his back headed for Thailand (January 2000) and made the choice to move to the vibrant city of Bangkok. Since then he has become an icon and key figure in the development of the Thailand House music scene which helped make it the global phenomenon it has become!

Emanuel’s name has become synonymous with Bangkok’s House music lovers... both inside and outside of Thailand. Places he has been to since moving here, sharing his vision for the positive vibe of House. Places rich in culture and diversity: Cambodia, Singapore, Burma, Indonesia, South Korea, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Jakarta, Maldives and all over Thailand.

His weekly Wednesday Models night (6 years) at Bed Supperclub www.bedsupperclub.com which has become one of the most talked about nights throughout Asia. Here he is regularly called upon to play with some of the top DJ/Artists in the world: DJ Roog, Kid Massive, Robert Owens, Rasmus Faber, Felix the Housecat, Dennis Ferrer, Martin Solvieg, DJ Gregory, Johnny Fiasco, Copyright, Knee Deep, Ian Carey, Oliver Lang, Born 2 Funk, Raul Rincon, Jesse Garcia, Sandy rivera, Bodyrox, DJ Pierre etc...

As well as DJing, Emanuel has been busy in the studio working on his own productions

At 37 years old proves he has the experience, Emanuel is truly a rising star in Asia dance scene and is a name to watch out for in 2009!
